Dear ,
After a short vacation with family in Belgium, Auriea dove right back into her studio never to be seen again. Until now. She will be officially resurfacing in London next week! And when she does, it will blow your mind, your soul and perhaps also your body after a fashion.
Alright. This is it. The insanely huge project that Auriea has been working on over the past few months. An entirely new immersive installation as her first solo show in London, also the first exhibition ever in the new Camden based gallery of Arebyte. The team in London is still putting things together as we speak. This is an ambitious project! Not just in terms of the material (video projections, holograms, a weird custom keyboard/clavichord, generated prophesies, lights and smoke, a soundtrack by yours truly and lots of screens in different sizes) but also as it pertains to the content. Auriea is exploring what her art could mean on a spiritual level in a world that is so obviously broken.
So, if at all possible, please come to the opening event on Thursday 11 September 2025 at 6:30 pm! We will both be there, as well as curator Pita Arreola, legendary Tale of Tales animator Laura Raines Smith, and choreography consultant Ania Catherine. The new Arebyte address is 25 Camden Road, which is a former police headquarters, believe or not. The exhibition continues until 21 Dec 2025.
Auriea's Black Ship installation is sailing from Centre Pompidou in Paris to Gazelli Art House in London. Again in the context of a group show that deals with the different ways in which artists adress the topic of Artificial Intelligence, which she uses more and more. But always critically. So she says. The installation consists of a sculpture, a mural and a neat Augmented Reality illusion.
The exhibition is called Subject to Change and runs from 3 October to 20 December 2025 at Gazelli Art House in 39 Dover Street. Auriea will be present at the opening on October 2nd.
As always, thank you for your interest in my wife's work and career. If we don't see you in London, please consider visiting us in Rome. The weather is still wonderful!
Blessings,
her faithful worshipper, Michael.
